Privacy Policy
StyleRx is operated by Jesse Parsons ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the StyleRx iPhone app and its service collect, how we use it, who processes it for us, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Questions: stylerxai@gmail.com, or by mail to the address in section 11.
1. Summary
- Your photos are private to your account.
- We do not sell your data, show ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers.
- A photo of you is sent to an outside AI service (OpenAI) only after you allow it, and only when you ask for a Try-On.
- You can delete photos, saved looks or your whole account in the app at any time.
2. Information we collect
Account information
You sign in with Apple. We receive an Apple account identifier and, if you choose to share it, an e-mail address (often an Apple private-relay address). We store these to run your account and do not use the e-mail address for marketing. You give us your date of birth, which we store encrypted, to confirm you are 18 or older. We also store your app preferences (such as language, units, sizing and style settings) and your plan.
Your photos
- Mannequin photos — full-body photos of you that you add for Try-Ons, kept in your private My Photos library. To make a clean cut-out of you, your iPhone separates you from the background on the device and sends us that outline with the photo.
- Clothing photos — photos of your clothes for your closet. We analyse them on our own servers to recognise each piece's type, colour and other details; they are not sent to an outside AI service.
- Images we create — cut-outs, outfit cards and Try-On images (pictures of you wearing a look).
Your closet and looks
Item details, corrections and answers you give, outfits you generate, outfits you save (including their Try-On pictures), and your settings.
Your choices about AI
Whether you allowed Try-Ons with OpenAI, the version of that consent, and when.
Usage and cost records
How many Try-Ons and outfit generations your account used each month (no photos), and a record of each paid AI operation (type, status, cost, time), so we can apply your plan's allowance and control costs.
Weather
When you generate outfits, the app may send us the current weather conditions (temperature, conditions, chance of rain, wind). Your iPhone gets the weather from Apple Weather using your location; your location is not sent to StyleRx.
Technical information
Sign-in sessions (with a label of the device type) and server logs used for security and reliability. Logs record requests (without the private links to your photos), errors and timing; our hosting provider may process your IP address to deliver the service. Logs do not contain your photos.
We do not use your photos to identify you or to create face or other biometric templates.
3. How we use information
To provide your account and closet; to generate outfits; to create a Try-On when you ask for one; to show your saved outfits and Try-Ons; to apply your plan's monthly allowances and protect the service from abuse and unexpected costs; to keep StyleRx secure and working; and to comply with the law. We do not sell or "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.
4. Service providers that process your information
- OpenAI — AI Try-On images. Before your first Try-On we ask whether you allow it; you can withdraw in Account › Privacy at any time. Only when you tap Try it on (or Make It Again) for a look that does not have a Try-On yet, we send OpenAI the photo of you and the photos of the pieces in that look, with a short description, to create the image. Try-Ons you already have are shown from our storage and are not sent again. OpenAI does not use this data to train its models and may keep it for up to 30 days to monitor for abuse, under OpenAI's API data terms.
- Apple. Sign in with Apple; Apple Weather on your iPhone; when you delete your account we ask Apple to revoke StyleRx's access.
- DigitalOcean. Our hosting provider runs our servers and stores our database and your photos for us in New York, USA.
We share information only with these providers, as needed to run StyleRx, or when required by law.
5. Storage, retention and deletion

Deleting your account (Account › Delete Account) deletes your account, closet, all photos (including My Photos, cut-outs, Try-Ons and saved outfits' pictures), looks, settings, consent and usage counts, and revokes StyleRx's access with Apple. Copies in backups disappear as the backups expire (up to 7 days).
6. Your choices and rights
- Delete individual items, photos and saved outfits in the app at any time, or your whole account.
- Withdraw consent for Try-Ons with OpenAI in Account › Privacy; Try-Ons you already have remain viewable.
- Access, copy or correct: you can see and edit your closet, photos and settings in the app; to request a copy of your information, contact stylerxai@gmail.com.
Depending on where you live (for example California, or the European Economic Area or the UK), you may have additional rights, such as to know what we collect, to access, correct or delete it, to obtain a copy, to object to or restrict processing, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. To use them, contact stylerxai@gmail.com. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the account holder, and we will respond within the time the law requires.
7. International users
StyleRx stores and processes information in the United States. If you use StyleRx from outside the US, your information is transferred to the US.
8. Children
StyleRx is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger; if we learn we have, we delete it.
9. Security
Photos are stored privately and shown only to your account through short-lived links; information is encrypted in transit; our database connection is certificate-verified; your date of birth and Apple tokens are encrypted; and AI service keys are kept only on our servers. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires.
10. Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change, change the effective date above, and tell you in the app before significant changes take effect.
